Food for Thought: How to Cure Your Fatigue

Why Beef Liver isn't just some crazy dish your grandma made

Ahhh, yes!

Another Friday…

Welcome back to another edition of the ‘Food for Thought’ newsletter. It’s been a productive few weeks for the Mafia, and we’re excited to be able to share some new initiatives we’ve been focused on! Here are some highlights from the last month:

A Family Reunion at Hack Your Health: We’ve been big conference people since the minute we started the Meat Mafia brand. We’ve heard from other people that “conferences aren’t worth the time and effort”, but Brett and I both feel the complete opposite about these types of events. For instance, last April Brett and I were asked to host the regenerative agriculture panel at Hack Your Health. We also had the pleasure of launching our brand Noble Origins at the conference as well. Not only was it valuable to receive feedback on the product from customers in real-time, but we were able to build valuable relationships for the business (one of which led to us getting the product into Central Market!). These types of relationships that we built at Hack Your Health led us to come back again this year. We had an incredible weekend with a bunch of familiar faces like Ann and Weldon Warren from Holy Cow Beef, Charles Mayfield from Farrow Skincare, and Dr. Shawn Baker, among many other great people. The event was capped off with a fun backyard BBQ at our office on Saturday night. It honestly felt like a family reunion with all the new and old friendships being built. We’re already getting geared up for Hack Your Health 2025 in Tampa, Florida next September!

New products launching for Noble Origins (soon!): We’re going to be launching a new product under the Noble Origins brand here in the next few months and we can’t wait to share it with you all. Can you guess what it is?

New podcast format: We’re working on developing a new format for the podcast where we release the podcast in the format of a series. Each series will be defined by a specific theme and include guests from different backgrounds to do deep dives on certain topics. What topics should we do first?

Alright, let’s get to the meat of this newsletter shall we…

This is potentially one of my favorite tweets of the entire month, if not the entire year (and there’s really nothing special about it). The reason I love it so much is it quite simply summarizes why beef liver should be included in the human diet. If you’re really looking to improve your energy and your reduce fatigue, you’re going to want to consider starting to incorporate beef liver into your diet. Here are the most effective ways to get beef liver into your diet:

  1. Eat it fresh: It’s my opinion that liver is to be eaten as fresh as possible and raw (yes, raw) if you want to receive the maximum benefits of beef liver.

  2. Eat it freeze-dried: Freeze-dried organ supplements are great, but they lose a bit of the nutrients in the process of freeze drying them. It’s a fair trade off for the convenience the supplements provide.

If you want to really start improving your health, incorporate organs into your diet and start seeing the nutrients work their magic!

Alright, Mafia that’s all we have today. Stay tuned until next week!

Best,

Brett & Harry
